Adelpha is a tribal belly dance troupe inspired by the formats of Gypsy Caravan and Fat Chance Bellydance...(and of course, our own moves as we create them) Adelpha is directed by Lisa Myers and is comprised of students from the Level 3 tribal class. Adelpha has performed at Spirit of the Tribes, Tribal Solstice, Festival of the Nile, American Belly Dance Club haflas, the Palm Bay Community Center Open House, Health First Company picnics, Ft.Pierce Community Center, Port St. Lucie Community Center, Arabian Nights, Henegar Center for the Arts Variety Show, the Palm Bay Arts Festival, the Orlando Fringe Festival and Friday Fests in downtown Melbourne . . Adelpha's goal is to promote the spirit of tribal style belly dance and will be happy to perform for local charities and fund-raisers. There are no auditions necessary for Adelpha and participation is offered to any Level 3 students who show interest and a solid understanding of the "basics". The requirements are regular attendance at class, availability to attend extra rehearsals, and a commitment to working on your own as well as with others to develop tribal technique, costuming, playing zills and improvisational skills.
